About V

Hi there, I’m V. Welcome to my review blog; where opinions are all we have and as such are all that matter.

I’m a 29 year old womanchild from Ireland, who enjoys gaming, movies, beers, watching countless consecutive episodes of my favourite TV shows, beers, sleeping, music, reading, beers, writing ridiculous characters for verbose play-by-forum RPGs and pictures of pugs in costumes.

Should you desire to contact me for any reason your pretty heads concoct (for feedback, hatemail, to send me a dirty limerick or two or just to shoot the breeze) you can do so via:

email / Skype: verbalspewreview@gmail.com
Twitter: @VerbalSpew
Facebook: Verbal Spew Review

I also take requests, so if there’s something out there that you think I should be reviewing drop me a line with your ideas and suggestions.

Thanks for stopping by!

Want to contribute to The Verbal Spew Review? I’m always open and looking for talent to promote. Here at The Spew I cover everything from movies, music, TV and games, to anything that takes my geeky fancy. If you think your style would fit well here and you’re suitably eccentric, then send me an email with your pitch to the address above and we’ll talk!

  1. My daughter gives me that look all the time. It never turns out very well for me when she does. :)

    • Ah, the patented daughter to Daddy look, to be used in, but not restricted to, the following situations: when they need a few quid, when you do or say something that’s somewhere between endearing and worrisome or embarrassing, when they need a favour, when you play air guitar in the car, when you share a joke or an understanding that only Daddies and daughters can… and again (because it is the most important one) when they need a few quid. ;D

      Thanks for visiting JF Owen!

      • Over the last 35 years, “the look” has been used in each and every one of those situations. You should never meet my daughter. You two are so alike that it might create a critical mass situation leading to some sort of cosmic event. The world as we know it could end!

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have some errands to run and singing in the car to do. Have a great day!

… don’t forget a slurp of red wine occasionally… and a walk, and maybe another slurp of the red stuff and writing a dirty ditty and another slurp… :-P

  24. Great site, V. You’ve changed the look since I last stopped by (please don’t tell me you changed like 6 months ago or something!). I liked the writing, but the previous theme was hard on my eyes. This looks much cleaner, and more readable.

Keep up the good work. Agree with what Tyson says further up the page too. You’ve got the male vote!! haha! ;)

    • Haha no, it’s a recent enough change! The old look was quite tough on the eyes indeed. When I started to squint as I scrolled through my own blog I realised a sprucing was definitely in order.

Thanks a mill for stopping by Monkeyboy! And for all of the comments and feedback, I’m much obliged. :D

  31. Hey, V. Great, now all I can think about is the television series “V” that came out back in the 80s, about alien lizards pretending to be humans who want to help us Earthlings.

Thanks for the like on my blog. Oh, I noticed you mentioned “beer” twice in your list of favorite things, you really are Irish! I prefer whisky.

I hope the weather in Ireland is better than in NYC (we just got hammered with anywhere from 8-14 inches of snow).

    Like

    • I’m not an evil invading lizard alien, I swear! … Or am I? DUN DUN DUN.

The weather here is awful; wind, rain, stormy conditions, but no snow. Thankfully. The whole country slows to a standstill when we get the slightest bit of snow, we can’t handle it like you guys can!

  34. Hey, Judgey-face, non-alien V : D Thanks for liking my “The Last Stand” post. Have you seen it yet? And which car would you rather have: the ZR-1 or the Camaro ZL1? I’d take the Camaro. Current and previous ZR-1s are notorious for having crappy interiors.

    Like

    • Hey! You’re very welcome. No I haven’t seen it yet, but your post piqued my curiosity. I’d have to agree on the Camaro too, I’d pick that one myself, how could one resist those beautifully mean lines!?
